In the first week of the month, every child gets to have their shoe traced and all the cutouts go into a paper sack.

Every couple of days two more cutouts are drawn from the sack.

The children first predict whether the two cut-outs match in length or which cut-out is longer, before figuring out where to put them into the line-up of shortest to longest shoes.
