During the last week of the month some teachers write What Do You See? on chart paper and list observations. If you post the chart with a copy of the calendar in the hallway, students from other classes may also be drawn into the search.

What Do You See?

1. All the rectangles go by 3’s. (Ady)

2. The greens go 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, __ (Kevin)

3. The green rectangles go down like steps and add 6 each time. (Sabayla)

4. It’s an AAB pattern. (Damien)

5. Some rectangles are standing up and some are lying down. They go up, down, up, down, up down…(Marcus)
