In week three, twice during the week, let volunteers choose three objects to place on the rug in a haphazard fashion. Have the class play “Guess and Check” by inviting the class to first guess the order of the items from shortest to longest and then check the predictions by having a volunteer match up the ends of the objects to order them by length.
