By Day 30 when the minute hand is halfway around the clock, we can help children see 30 minutes is half an hour and that one whole hour is twice as many, 60 minutes. We can also practice counting by fives using the five-minute marks on the Clock and using the tally.

On Day 30, whenever the real classroom clock shows half past the hour, you may want to take a moment to help the children read the hour and state the time. (It is 11:30 or half past 11.)
