The January to December line up of Birthday Packages provides a ready invitation to chanting the months in order as a helper points to each month’s name. We can also count and compare the number of tags for different months. Many teachers take October out of the line up on October 1st and display it near the Calendar. The children whose tags are on the October package get to figure out where to place their tags on the Calendar to mark their birthdays using the 1st as a starting point.
